Any news related to Axact is a
hot piece of cake now a days in Pakistan and media is taking it like a kind of national
threat though FIA has confessed that it knew the matter long ago but could not
act due to absence of any complain.
Before I go into the depth, i
would like to throw certain questions that needs to be taken into the
consideration.
1. Why FIA didn’t take action
if they knew the scam long ago.
2. How this claim from FIA
contradicts with the statement of our ex-president Mr. Asif Zardari who said in
a GEO Television Program,
Capital Talk with Hamid Mir, that his
government didn’t know anything about the scam.
3. FIA Chairman's ridiculous
statement which appeared right after as a reaction to New York Time's Article
that the people who got fake degrees from Axact should contact to FIA and
register the complaint.
4. Why this scam is given so
much importance as our history is evident of much larger scams who didn’t get
attention.
5. Some news suggests that
Declan Walsh was deported from Pakistan from ISI
6. Can Axact (A Pakistani
based company) run this much huge education diploma mill business alone?
7. Why Axact would make itself
so vulnerable to investigation when they are about to launch a media house BOL?
8. Why local media is taking
hype on this news
9. May be this is a severe
move when the Pakistan Government is about to go with the Cyber Laws
Regulations?
10. Would this inquiry be
completed or settled down?
I was listening to the online
video petition from the CEO/Chairman of Axact, Mr. Shoaib Sheikh the other day,
in which he asked Prime
Minister of Pakistan Mian
Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Staff Gen. Raheel Shareef and Sr. Judiciary to bring
Axact free and fair justice. All the things were ordinary in the speech but one
point was clicking for me. Mr. Shoaib said, they have a software product
related Online Education System which can be used for the backend services of
any educational system, either universities or school. Means, according to him,
if some other person is using the product for their illicit activities/fake
degrees then this should not be put on the Axact.
Investigation is going on by
FIA and I hope that this will lead to a free and fair conclusion and actions.
